CLEANING

HOW TO CLEAN PILLOWS AFTER LICE INFECTION

(quick step by step guide)

GEAR UP!

Wear gloves, apron, and tie your hair up. It's not cool to get lice on yourself!

REMOVE BEDDING

Remove the bedsheets, pillowcases, blankets, duvet.

INTO THE WASHER

Separate the washable and "dry clean only" pillows/beddings - Only wash the washable ones.

WASHING RECOMMENDATION

First cycle - Wash with detergent and hot water to kill the lice.

Second cycle - Just hot water to flush out the remaining ones.

Slow spin speed for both cycles.

INTO THE DRYER

After washing, put the pillows and beddings into the dryer. High heat setting. As long as required to dry.

SEALED PACKAGE X

Keep the washed pillow and bedding in a sealed ziploc bag.

Any remaining lice will die off within 7-10 days without a human to feed on.

VACUUM THE ROOM

Sweep through mattress, pillows, and even the bed frame thoroughly.

DRY-CLEAN & SPECIAL CARE PIECES

There are no good ways to throughly clean them without professional tools.

Best to send them to professional cleaners.
